America, America

We have been studying American Symbols in my Kindergarten class. Here are Charlton and I with the American Bald Eagle.

We also learned about the Statue of Liberty.  This picture of the Statue of Liberty looks little but she really is as big as I am because Maga drew around me to make her. .
I know part of the poem that is written on her plaque..."Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free... I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

I can also sing you a song about her ..."and my name is Liberty."
Someday I hope to go and see her in person.

Of course we learned about our American flag

 and Uncle Sam.

I made some beautiful fireworks and wrote a cinquain poem about them.
This is a symbol to represent me...Smiling Deer, which is my Indian name.
We learned that in Ameirca we get to make many choices.
We learned many patriotic songs and made a song book for this one...America the Beautiful.
