Let Me Entertain You

Wearing a new dress and her Christmas ballet shoes, Waverly took to the stage once more. Naturally, she stole the show. Like mother, like daughter!

We Love A Parade

Familiar characters in big balloon form kept Waverly and Mommy and Maga entertained as they floated down Harbor Blvd. What's more, every little girl needs a flag to wave, right?

Watching a parade is hard work. Time for a nap!

Christmas

Waverly was such a good girl that Santa brought her just what she asked for, a yittle (little) ball and a bicycle (tricycle). Now if she can just figure out how to drive this thing.

Princess Waverly also received a vanity, books, dolls and beautiful clothes. What a Christmas!

12/20/07

See Father Christmas

Waverly, dressed to the nines and out on the town with her Daddy, went to the Hotel Del to watch her Mom perform in An American Christmas. At the end of the evening she joined mom on stage to sing, See Father Christmas.

12/8/07

Christmas Party

Waverly went to her first "big girl" Christmas party...without mom and dad. Morgan, a brave teen, watched all the kids at one house while the parents were at a grown-up party near by. Fun was had by all!

12/6/07

Christmas Projects

Waverly has gotten into the spirit of Christmas by trimming Maga's tree, making paper chains, and decorating Christmas cookies. What's next?

12/5/07

Visits to Santa

What's better than one visit to Santa? How about two? That's two candy canes, for sure.

11/29/07

That's Our Baby?

Waverly went with Mom, Maga and Aunt Jess to see the new baby. (Daddy was sick and couldn't be there.) Everyone was excited to see the little head, the little arms waving, and the heartbeat. Waverly wasn't impressed. He/She didn't look like any baby she'd ever seen before. So, Aunt Jess....Let's Dance!

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple

Mom got rainbow pancakes for her birthday breakfast thanks to Waverly and Maga. Here are the directions in case you want to make some. First you drop in the color.
Next you stir it all around. You admire the colors and sing..."Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, makes a pretty rainbow. "
You cook the pancakes and then you eat them. Delicious!!!

A Puppy at Disneyland?

I thought dogs had to stay in the Disney Kennel Club but this little one escaped and ran in the gate with us. Here she is waiting for the Aladdin Musical Show. Earlier she met Cruella Deville who really liked her spots!!!

Maga goes to Disneyland

Maga agreed to getting an annual Disney pass so she could go often with Waverly. This trip we rode a few rides, went into the Haunted Mansion a la "Nightmare Before Xmas" and met some really big characters. Thanks, Waverly, for taking Maga along.

11/1/07

Happy Halloween

Waverly, dressed as a bee, enjoyed the Harvest Festival at her church with bee friend, Catherine. The games were fun, but the pony ride was the best. Look how our cowgirl has grown since last Halloween.

10/26/07

Disneyland

Waverly wasn't sure what all Disneyland entailed, she just wanted to see Minnie Mouse. Not only did she see her, Minnie Mouse kissed her nose!!! She also saw Mickey, Goofy, Cinderella and Woody... but he was seg-wee. (scary) Rides included Peter Pan, Nemo, and the Tea Cups. She really enjoyed California Adventure's Aladdin Show, Playhouse Disney and the parade.

10/24/07

Smile

This is Waverly's new smile. She's proud of her teeth...and will tell you that the last two year old molar is coming in. The haircut is cute!!

10/23/07

Fire Storm 2007

San Diego County was ablaze and Waverly and family had to evacuate. They went to friends in Wildomar where she had great fun with Ellis. All was well when they returned to Hidden Meadows. Just a lot of ash everywhere. Off to Disneyland.

10/14/07

It Can't Be Over

Waverly was a little fearful of going on this slide at the pumpkin patch and thought Maga should go with her. Then she had her first turn and didn't want to ever stop. She was so little she really struggled to climb up the stairs to the top, but had no trouble at all coming down! That's our girl.

10/13/07

Maybe

Walking to the car after lunch, Waverly stopped and sat along the sidewalk in the shopping center to recreate the role of Aileen Quinn in the film, Annie. With sweet voice and serious expression, she sang the song "Maybe" to little orphan, Molly. The role of Molly was played by Maga, who was lying on the sidewalk at Waverly's direction.

10/5/07

Fun

Enjoying a picnic at the park in Coronado, with Mom and Maga, Waverly showed us how well she can go up and down the slides. She also had fun swinging and running on the grass and had a great nap afterwards!

9/25/07

We've Got Annie

Waverly's newest favorite movie is Annie.
In costumes, as Sandy or Annie, she acts out the script, sings the songs and makes the choreography look easy.

9/3/07

East Coast Grandparents

Grandma Marie and Grandpa Karl stopped by for a visit after their Alaskan cruise and enjoyed the Labor Day weekend with Mike, Joy and Waverly. They also got to help celebrate both Mike's and Waverly's birthdays.

9/1/07

A Peter Pan Party

Waverly has been in love with the musical, Peter Pan, for quite a while. She saw Julianne sing "I Gotta Crow" in her school talent show, watched the Cathy Rigby VHS until she could sing all the songs and do all the moves and went to see Peter Pan at San Diego Junior Theater. Little figures of Peter and Wendy were always in her hand when Maga would rock-a-bye her as they sang "Tender Shepherd."

So, It was only natural that her birthday party would have a Peter Pan theme. The guests came in costume to join Tinker Bell, Captain Hook, Tiger Lily, and Peter. There were games to play, a treasure hunt, and pixie dust on the cupcakes. What fun to be Two.

8/24/07

Aunt Amy and Uncle Scott

Aunt Amy and Uncle Scott spent a couple of weekends here before heading for Germany, where they'll be stationed for the next 3 years. Waverly really enjoyed spending time with them at Legoland.

8/5/07

Happy Birthday, Waverly

Waverly is officially a "Terrific Two" today. Helping her blow out the candles on her birthday cake are her Mom and Dad and her two Fairy Godmothers, Cousin Tina and Cousin Pam, whose birthday is also August 5th.

7/28/07

Fun With Dad

Having fun with Dad, while in Big Bear, included playing guitar
and having silly fun at a local restaurant. Such a cute laugh!

YO, HO, HO

Waverly and her Mom and Dad enjoyed sailing on a pirate ship on Big Bear Lake. They stayed in a mountain cabin amongst the pines and enjoyed visiting the beach along the lake and the nature center.

5/11/07

On to the Theater

This month Waverly went to the theater on two different occasions. First she watched and loved every moment of Peter Pan at Junior Theater with Julianne and Jennifer. Later in the month she went to see mom perform in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Lamb's Players. She didn't quite make it through the entire show this time but was very excited to see mom on stage.

2/15/07

Mom's Work

Waverly knows that Mom sings and dances when she goes to work because she's been there. She visited Mom's dressing room when Joy did I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change at the Candlelight Pavilion. Waverly also got to watch mom sing and dance and be" silly" ... and even got to dance on stage herself.

Legoland Here We Come

Another adventure with the family was a trip to Legoland. Waverly is leading the way.

The train ride was fun for big kids and little.

Who is hiding???

Whee!!!

Aunt Heidi and Grandma Marie enjoyed the boat ride through Storybook Land.
