What a pretty kitty!

Waverly's make-up is perfect for the stage. It's time for her to start watching the video of Cats and learning the songs. Oops! Water and make-up don't go together, but splashing in the Legoland fountains was fun!

Legs

Ariel (Waverly) is smiling because she no longer has tail fins. She has beautiful long legs and is trying them out, running back and forth in front of her ocean friends, stopping only when she hears Charlton's little voice. ( "What are you doing, Sissy?") It seems that one little fish is fascinated with her.Who wouldn't be? But what is the song she is singing???

To Kiss A Coyote

Maga, Waverly, Julianne, and Jennifer picnicked and played on the beach in Del Mar
then headed up the hill to Torrey Pines State Park where
Waverly got to meet (and kiss) the same coyote
that Julianne had smooched a few years ago. Touching is encouraged at this little museum so Waverly also got up close and personal with a skunk, a mountain lion, a kit fox and some birds. The California Quails were her favorites because they were very soft.

Hi, Mary Loso

Mary Loso was visiting from Oregon and she and Waverly enjoyed some quality time with rides on the Merry-go-Round. Mary lives near Salem Oregon's Riverfront Carousel and has invited us all to come up for a ride. http://www.salemcarousel.org/

Pretty As A Picture

Mary Loso requested a trip to Grossmont Nutrition, a favorite haunt from her teaching days in San Diego. While she broused in the store Waverly enjoyed some photo ops outside on the quad. Thanks, Cassidy, for giving me this great dress.

Pool Party

Waverly had a lot of fun at the pool party for Conall's 4th birthday. Here she is with Mom, Aunt Karen and Conall. Here she is playing in the jacuzzi with Maddie

and here she is manning the boat and trying to squirt Maga.

Bubbles

If they had to be out of the pool, Waverly and Maddie decided they'd have fun with the bubbles.

Big Girl

Now that she is three, Waverly is officially through with diapers so Maga took her to the Merry-Go-Round to celebrate. Compare these photos with the post from March 16th, 2008 and you'll see that Waverly is now a big girl in more ways than one.

Happy Faces

The faces are always happy when Waverly visits friends Roxy and Dillen. The fun usually involves "dress up" and sometimes playing in the pool.

At Maga's House

Waverly came to spend the night at Maga's house. Both Waverly and Maga were thrilled. Waverly painted at her easel with real paint and brushes for the first time,
played with the zoo animals,
cooked food it her play kitchen and cleaned out the refrigrator :)
then did crafts on the bed while she and Maga ate the food she had prepared.
Finally, she and Maga sang the much needed "clean-up" song and were off to read books and rock each other to sleep. Maga's house is great fun!

She's How Old?

Count them, 1-2-3 candles on Waverly's birthday cake.
Yet, here she was, siting inside the frame of the still to be assembled, Jump Start, the birthday gift her Aunt AnnMarie sent, reading her mom's diary from high school. It's okay, Joy. She can't really read. But, you might want to find a better hiding place for your diary before she can.

Concerto For Waverly's Third

Charlton, both Magas, Mom and Waverly had lunch at the golf club to celebrate Waverly's birthday.
"Cheers, Waverly." You are our special girl.
After lunch Waverly entertained us with her "Concerto for Waverly's Third"

Don't you just love her method for reaching those notes further and further down the keyboard?

Songs and Dances

A birthday party wouldn't be complete without the traditional "Happy Birthday" song but Waverly's birthday party also included a daddy-daughter dance
and a solo song and dance by the lovely princess.

Princess Waverly arrived to find the castle already decorated for the ball. Wow!

First Gift

Waverly's first birthday gift was a bit of a puzzle to her..but mom got it. In the box was a sonogram print-out! A new cousin for Waverly, a niece or nephew for Auntie Joy. Uncle Scott and Aunt Amy are expecting their first baby in February.
