The Nutcracker and The Grinch

We don't have pictures but Waverly really had a very theatrical Christmas. After seeing her mom's show, Festival of Christmas, 3 times she went with Maga to see The Nutcracker and today she and her Dad went to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Old Globe Theater.

After the show they were escorted back stage by none other than Papa Who (Steve Gunderson) where Waverly got to see the sets, meet some of the characters and sit on the sleigh. And..it snowed!!! She and her dad also had lunch on the Prado and enjoyed being together for the afternoon in Balboa Park.

Festival of Christmas

Dad and I are all dressed up because we are going to opening night of Mom's Play, Festival of Christmas.

Before the show we have a snack at Encore, the restaurant in the theatre. At intermission I got to go backstage to visit mom and meet her on-stage daughter.

After the show there was a big cast party. What a night!

A Christmas Tradition

It's a Christmas tradition for Julianne and I to have lunch, get dressed up, decorate Maga's Christmas tree,

and make Christmas cookies.

This year Buddy helped by making playdough cookies.

Happy Thanksgiving

Here is our family on Thanksgiving, just about to eat dinner. Dad is dishing out the food

and I'm snuggling with my Maga.

After dinner we played a story game called "Pass the Talking Spoon." We all took turns telling a Thanksgiving story or memory, or talking about our blessings.

We also celebrated Mom's birthday with candles on our pie. Come on someone and light the candles.
Of course, we sang to her...in English and in Polish. Happy Birthday, Mom... and Happy Thanksgiving.

Halloween 2009

Waverly wanted to be a cat for Halloween...perhaps because she and Joy had recently seen the musical, "Cats." Joy did a great job on the costume, hair and makeup and Waverly put on here best cat expressions. I think she'll be ready for an audition the next time JT does the show.

Diamond Sparklez got to ride along to the preschool Halloween party.

The newest member of the Hricko family, Diamond Sparklez, was adopted on October 22.

More, More Disneyland

Back again. This time I got to meet Peter Pan. He is so cute!

Here I am going into Small World with my friends, Dillen and Roxy.

Mom talked me into going on Nightmare Before Christmas in the Haunted Mansion and I loved it. Here I am with Sally.

Mom and Charlton and I are with Sally and Jack.

Okay Buddy Boy, let's me and you try Small World together.

And let's dance with Winnie the Pooh. We've got to move it move it.

More Disneyland

I'm off to Disneyland again, this time with some of my friends as well as Mom and Charlton.

As usual, we had a great time.

Fun at Maga's

We had a fun week at Maga's... planting sweetpeas,

finding worms,

drawing on the sidewalk with chalk,

digging in the sandbox and raking leaves.

A New Cousin

Look what we've got...a new cousin. His name is Michael Abbott Sparks. Charlton and I both think he is pretty cute. Maga helped me hold him

then I was on my own.
